During the Spring Term, Year Three Chestnut Class and Year Three Rowan Class were learning about the Celts and the Romans. As well as going on an exciting trip to the Brigantium Roman Fort in York where we pretended to be Roman Soldiers, we also created Roman inspired Art work.
In our Art lessons, we got the opportunity to work with a local artist called Sian Hodson. Our project was to design and make some colourful Mosaic Artwork to display around school. First of all, we created mosaics using paper tiles. Then, we went on to create Mosaics using ceramic tiles. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Have you noticed whereabouts in school our ceramic mosaics have been displayed?
